Accessibility Statement
History should be available to more readers.
We work to make Daily History AI perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust across common devices and assistive technologies.
Our commitment
Daily History AI is committed to improving access for people with disabilities. Our ongoing target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. WCAG organizes accessibility around four principles: content should be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust. Stating this goal is not a claim that every page has been independently audited or fully conforms in every combination of browser and assistive technology.
Accessibility measures
The site currently uses or supports:
- Semantic HTML headings, landmarks, lists, navigation regions, and form labels.
- Keyboard-accessible links, buttons, menus, filters, and date-selection controls.
- Visible keyboard focus indicators.
- Responsive layouts that adapt to narrow screens and text enlargement.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images and empty alternative text for decorative images.
- Color combinations intended to maintain readable contrast.
- Links that remain identifiable without relying only on color.
- Page titles, descriptive headings, breadcrumbs, and consistent navigation.
- Static or progressively enhanced content that remains readable without complex interactions.
Known limitations
Accessibility is an ongoing process, and some limitations may remain. Historical source websites and third-party documents linked from the archive are outside our control. Older PDFs, scans, maps, or media provided by external institutions may not include complete text alternatives, captions, transcripts, or accessible document structure.
Some historical images are used as decorative backgrounds and intentionally have empty alternative text because adjacent headings and descriptions communicate the page purpose. We continue to review interactive controls, color contrast, zoom behavior, reading order, and screen-reader output as site features change.
Using the site
Visitors can navigate the primary menu with a keyboard, browse historical indexes through standard links, select a calendar date with labeled controls, and use search filters without a pointing device. Most browser zoom and text-size controls should work without loss of core content.
Accessibility feedback
If you encounter a barrier, emailinfo@aisuretech.com. Including the following information will help us investigate:
- The page URL and the feature or content involved.
- A short description of what you were trying to do.
- Your browser, device, and assistive technology, if you are comfortable sharing them.
- The format or alternative that would help you access the information.
We will review reports and make reasonable efforts to provide the information in another format or correct barriers within our control.
